Do Something Nice For Someone During Random Acts of Kindness Week
There is still time to go out of your way to do something nice for someone. Of course, it is always good to strive to be kind to others- especially during these crazy times. But this week we all have the opportunity to make an extra effort to be kind.
There are all kinds of ways to show kindness to others. It could be as simple as opening the door for someone. Maybe you could buy a friend- or a stranger- a cup of coffee. If someone cuts in front of you in line just let it go. After all, it really isn't that big of a deal in the larger scheme of things.
Make your gestures of kindness more meaningful by not telling anyone about them. At Matthew 6:3, Jesus told us ,"But you, when making gifts of mercy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing." If we apply this in our lives, it shows that we are not just doing things for others for recognition or to see what we can get out of the deed. Try it- you will feel good about yourself.
Instead, if you see someone doing something good for others share it below. If you can capture a picture- great. But even if you just comment about what you saw, maybe that will motivate more people to show kindness and generosity to others.
Life is an adventure- spend yours making the lives of others better.
