Cookie Strolls Through Central Park In New York

I never thought I would have even gone to New York-- let alone drive there twice . But once I got there, I loved it.  I would not want to live there, but it was so much fun to visit and take in some of the sights. I had heard that there were tulips in Central Park.  It was not long before I was in search of my favorite flower. I did find some, but I saw more outside of Central Park.  The main streets were full of them! It was kind of cool to see the performers in the park though.

Cookie's Guessing Game

I got something new and had to put it together.  Can you guess what it is?  It is an item that you have seen hundreds of times.  You probably have several of them in your house.  You also use them at work.  T here are many different types of this thing.  They come in all sorts of colors.  Some are hard and some are soft.  Uh-oh...did I just give it away? Some are stationary and some have wheels and can move around the room easily.  They come in many sizes.  Even little children can get them in their own special size.  Y ou can use them while fixing dinner, watching TV or even while sleeping.  You have probably guessed by now-- it's a chair!

Culture For Cookie At The Metropolitan Museum Of Art

One of the main reasons I went to New York was to visit the Metropolitan Museum .  I had been planning this trip for about three years before I actually got to go. There is a really cool fountain in front of the Museum.  I just loved it.  I could sit and watch it for hours. I found it interesting that there are people who keep the sidewalk in front of the museum all clean and pretty. There are several food trucks that sell food and drinks in front of the museum.  You can even get a hot gog. There are many tours at the Met.  You can choose to have a tour guide or you can do self guided tours.  I went specifically for some tours where a guide discusses various artifacts and how they relate to Bible prophecy.   These specific tours are actually virtual right now because of the pandemic, but the awesome thing is they are free.  You can even take part in virtual tours in Jerusalem .  This is totally awesome because many who would not be able to take a trip for such a tour can attend one onl

Cookie's Product Review- Caramel Ding Dongs

It seems like every time you turn around there is some new special edition of snack items.  Yeah- it is just a marketing ploy to get people to buy more of their products, but sometimes it works.  I thought I would give these a try. They are okay, but I prefer the originals.

Bonus Post- The Walmart Disaster

I had a couple of things happen during my trip to Walmart tonight.  If you have not seen my money order post, be sure to click the link to watch it.  I also had an issue with their app bar code scanner.  Check out my video below for all the gory details.

Cookie's First Train Ride

I was having a blast driving all over the country.  I was in Buffalo, New York & wanted to take a brief jaunt down to New York City because I had gotten a migraine & hadn't gotten to do everything I wanted to the first time I went. I had been wanting to take a train ride for a long time, so I decided that's what I would do.  I planned out the trip for my days off & made the reservations.   I knew I would be working the night before the trip, so I decided to reserve a sleeping compartment in case I wanted to nap.  I always thought it would be fun to ride in one of these anyway. The day before my trip I was sleeping because, as I said, I would be working that night.  When I woke up, there was a message on my phone from Amtrak.  They had called to tell me they had cancelled the train car with the sleeping quarters & downgraded me to coach. I was furious.  I called them & chewed them out.  I explained why I had specifically reserved that specific feature.  They

Cookie's Comments On Dessie's Cards

I found Dessie's Greeting Cards on Amazon & ordered two boxes.  They came packaged really nicely.  When I opened them, I was actually surprised at the quality of the cards.  I'm not sure why- I have never even heard of Dessie's before, so it's not like I had a negative experience with them. The card stock is excellent.  It is very thick, and there is a lot of area to write on.  The designs are unique & so totally cute.  Each card is different.  It says a lot when a box of 50 cards has no 2 cards alike.  It shows that the producers are putting a lot of thought & effort into these items.  It shows that they care & they want to provide something that brings joy to the sender & the receiver of the card. I checked out their website & discovered that they also have baby shower games.  I will be ordering cards from them again in the future & definitely recommend them to others.  Dessie's gets two big Cookie thumbs up!
